Preparing You for Your Tomorrow
EXPLORE AREAS OF STUDY
Civil Engineering
The M.S.E. program offers several areas of study within the civil engineering discipline, including structural, environmental, and geotechnical engineering.
Computer Systems
The computer science and engineering department offers a three-course series designed to enhance knowledge of computer systems security.
Electrical
The electrical engineering department offers sixteen different graduate-level courses online. Areas of study include control systems, electrical power, semiconductor devices, and communications.
Environmental
The area of environmental engineering incorporates courses from multiple departments, but primarily from civil engineering.
Industrial
Industrial Engineering offers courses in decision modeling, optimization, probability and stochastic models, design of experiments, and simulation.
Mechanical
The Mechanical Engineering department offers courses in thermal science, aeronautics, material science, and design.
Structural
The M.S.E. program offers multiple structural courses in civil engineering, as well as a couple of material science courses from mechanical engineering that may be applied to a structural engineering plan of study.
Engineering Management
M.S.E. students have the opportunity to choose from a large selection of engineering and operations management classes. Select courses focus on systems engineering, risk management, probability and statistics, and trade-off analytics.
Master of Science in Engineering
Flexible. Affordable. Convenient.
A Master of Science in Engineering (M.S.E.) degree is a good fit for students who have already earned a bachelor of science in engineering or computer science and would like to take graduate-level courses in a variety of engineering topics. We will not limit you to just one area of engineering. The M.S.E. program is fully customizable, allowing students to create a curriculum that meets their professional and educational goals.
Did you know?
- The M.S.E. program is well ranked among online graduate engineering programs at public, doctoral granting institutions by U.S. News & World Report.
- The M.S.E. degree is a distance-delivered program fully-accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
- Graduate faculty from the College of Engineering teach the courses.
- An entrance exam, such as the GRE, is not required.
- No thesis is required and there is no out-of-state tuition.
- Your degree will not say “Online.” Your diploma will look the same as a University of Arkansas student who attended in-person classes.
